Terms of Service
Please read these terms of service carefully before using our mobile VIN verification services. By booking with us, you agree to the following conditions:
Service Scope
Important Notice
- NOT a Registration Service: We do not process titles, issue license plates, or collect registration fees. We provide one specific service: the physical inspection and certification of the DMV Form REG 31.
Refund & Service Fee Policy / Support
Service Fee Agreement
Our fee primarily covers the mobile dispatch and travel time to your location. Therefore, the service is considered "rendered" the moment an agent arrives at your location.
If we arrive and cannot complete the form because your vehicle is ineligible (e.g., Salvage, Junked, Grey Market, Incomplete), the full service fee is still owed.
DMV Rejection & Correction Process
If the DMV rejects the REG 31 due to a verifier error, we will immediately correct it upon written notification. To ensure a quick resolution, request the DMV to provide a clear, written explanation of the rejection reason and required remedy, as we cannot accept verbal refusals lacking written justification (unless it is clear and obvious).
Should a field agent refuse the form and a written reason, please ask the manager to accept the REG 31, process your transaction, and forward the form to DMV Headquarters for review. This prevents a full transaction rejection and unnecessary second visits. If Headquarters later finds an error, they will issue a written correction request directly to the DMV, streamlining the process for the public.
Example 1: "The DMV verbally said they reject your form because it didn't have the emissions label indicated—you marked NONE."
Response: A missing emissions label does not prohibit the verification of a vehicle on the REG 31. If there is no label, the verifier is instructed to mark NONE or leave a REMARK (if the customer provides a reason explaining why the emissions label is missing).
Example 2: "The DMV verbally said they reject your form because you didn't check a box for the type of license plate. They said EVERY SECTION MUST BE CHECKED."
Response: The section for "License Plates on Vehicle" does not need a checkmark IF there is a regularly issued license plate in the LICENSE PLATE NUMBER section. The REG 31 also specifically states that only the numbered sections 1-9 must contain at least one box checked. However, if there are NO license plates, the verifier should mark NONE, and the same if temporary permit or dealer temp registration.
The above examples are only two instances where the REG 31 is completely filled out and valid, but a DMV field agent wants to claim that it is invalid and is causing a total refusal of your overall transaction. These situations (and there are many more examples to give), although not so common lately, do happen sometimes. We ask that before you walk away from the DMV desk, you CALL THE VERIFIER (the phone number will ALWAYS be listed on the bottom of the REG 31).
More times than not, that phone call to the verifier helps clear the air and allows the DMV to successfully accept the REG 31 as is and complete your entire transaction (instead of refusing your transaction and making you come back at a later date). But if that phone call highlights an actual mistake on behalf of the verifier, the verifier will own up to that mistake and immediately make the correction.
In this situation, we still want to encourage the DMV to process your transaction and, at the very least, provide you with a Report of Deposit of Fees (RDF #5) that lists "Verification of vehicle…" at the top, which would allow the REG 31 to be mailed to the DMV instead of requiring the public to visit the DMV again.
